This position is offered at either Bell s main campus in Fort Worth, Texas or the Shelton, Connecticut office. Relocation to the Dallas/Fort Worth area is available. For those in the CT area, Bell s Shelton office allows candidates to work remotely on the same diverse range of exciting programs without having to relocate. Travel to the main campus in Fort Worth for coordination meetings, testing, and other on-site activities can be expected. For either location, travel to various suppliers may be expected depending on the assignment.
Bell is seeking an Electrical Distribution Systems Engineer, which is responsible for bringing the next generation of military unmanned aerial systems to market.
Developing system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for the aircraft Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems and integration with other aircraft systems
Coordinating with and managing electrical system suppliers in the development, integration, and testing of power generation and distribution systems.
System and software design, requirements management, systems specifications development, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing in desktop simulation environment and systems integration labs, aircraft flight test support, and aircraft/system qualification and certification.
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) is required.
Master s Degree is preferred.
9+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, particularly rotorcraft, is beneficial. Other industry experience will be considered.
Specific experience with electrical systems integration, development, and testing
Familiarity with RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, and SAE ARP4761
Experience with creation of system specifications, requirements traceability and verification
Experience creating system architecture and wiring schematics
Experience generating System Safety Assessments, Failure Hazard Analyses, and Certification and Test plans or similar
Supporting aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting
CATIA or other Computer Aided Design programs
Enovia, DOORS, and Serena Dimensions
Schematic creation using CHS Mentor Graphics
Electrical system development and testing in a systems integration lab
