?Design Sales Associate? is a creative sales position with the opportunity to grow within the Setting the Space Interiors Company. A Design Sales Associate gets to be the in-?- store designer empowered with stock to sell off the floor to our customers. Our Design Sales Associates are responsible for driving sales and achieving sales goals. As the public face of the Setting the Space the Design Sales Associate will handle all customer questions about the products and services the company offers. A Design Sales Associate is expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services, and policies.

Responsibilities:
A Design Sales Associate provides an exceptional experience for all those come into Setting the Space. A Design Sales Associate will use their creativity and knowledge to assist all customers. The Design Sales Associate will provide product knowledge as well as information for the other services offered such as, Interior Design and Home Staging. The Design Sales Associate will grow a clientele base to create brand recognition and returning customers. A Design Sales Associate will problem solve by utilizing other staff and handle situations in a proper manner. Below are daily responsibilities of a Design Sales Associate.
  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers.
  • Achieving established goals.
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store.
  • Increasing in-store sales.
  • Constant product knowledge.
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor.
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
  • Cross?-selling products to increase purchase amounts.
  • Communicating with fellow Consultants and Management team.

Requirements:
  • Retail sales experience.
  • A professional appearance.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-?-paced environment.
  • The ability to talk to people and engage them to purchase.
  • The ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • The ability to be on your feet throughout the day.

We currently have 7 retail design centers from Somerville to Mashpee. Each design center is home to a diverse and unique merchandise assortment ranging from unexpected, whimsical gifts to the latest trends in home furnishings. Each store is staffed with a creative and talented team of designers ready to help customers.
