To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring a Head of Annuity Product to join our team.

Our ideal Head of Annuity Product candidate excels as an executive leader overseeing all aspects of the Annuity Product line from concept development to pricing to implementation. Youll use your skills to not only drive a culture of product innovation and ideation, youll also engage in senior level thought leadership driving a culture of agility and change, all in the spirit of providing the best outcomes for our customers and employees.

Objectives of this role

  • Build and execute the Annuity Product lines concept development, pricing and related implementation plan through team talent

  • Translate this information into innovative and profitable strategy recommendations

Daily and monthly responsibilities

  • Through effective influencing, collaboration, mentoring and communication drive the execution of the Annuity Product strategy

  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders (i.e. but not limited to, Workplace Solutions and MassMutual Financial Advisor Distribution channels, Competitive Intelligence lead, Head of Strategy & Support, other company executives) to ensure industry competitive landscape is fully understood and related Annuity Products strategy positions MassMutual for sales success and profitability

  • Ensure team talent development is a priority, modeling quarterly Check-Ins, quality and actionable pipeline and succession plans

  • Oversee budget considerations in a quality and timely manner

Skills and qualifications

  • Demonstrated deep and broad understanding of Annuity products and their related competitive landscape

  • Demonstrated ability to:

  • Lead results through others at both mid to upper management and early career levels

  • Contribute strategic thought partnership as an integral part of the Product Senior Leadership team

  • Quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels (executive through entry); recognized as an effective and strong collaborator

  • Manage a budget

  • College Degree

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA

  • 15+ years in an executive, strategic Product leadership position
