Summary: Provides beauty services for customers by performing the following duties.

Position Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Performs manicures, pedicures, facials, hair styling (blowouts, braids and updos), waxing, and makeup application according to spa manual
  • Have product knowledge of all products provided for customer use
  • Interacts cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless guest experience
  • Present a warm and professional persona towards guests and co-workers
  • Adheres to high professional image standard such as: dress, grooming, language and lifestyle
  • Practices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness and visual presentations
  • Attend and Participate in all general team meetings and training
  • Maintains organized stations
  • Completes daily check list of cleaning obligations and abides by all county, stated, and local laws and regulations regarding sanitation, cleanliness and safety
  • Adheres to work schedule and has good work ethics
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Equipment utilization: Pedicure stations, nail stations, implements and sanitation equipment

    Education and/or Experience
    Must have valid State of Vermont Cosmetology License (Esthetician License could also be considered), with at least 12 months of practice in Vermont. Past resort or hospitality experience is preferred.

    Language Skills
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills
    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills
    Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products, and ability to learn and utilize spa specific software.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Must have and maintain State of Vermont Cosmetology, Esthetician or other necessary license.

    Other Skills and Abilities
    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with guests, employees and other resort staff. Must be able to accurately control and track inventory of spa products.

    Other Qualifications
    Must have excellent organization skills and ability to train others in up selling of spa products. Must have the ability to understand the spa market and create and recommend attractive
    new spa packages, bridal packages, discount programs, etc to maximize business in the spa during periods of both high and low business.

    Resort Conditions This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied,and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas,
    subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Some facilities are located at the base or bottom area and some are semi-remote and can only be reached by traveling via
    chair lift(s), skis or snowboards. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the
    number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays
