6 month contract with a strong chance of contract extension in Springfield, MA. Candidates must have strong experience with Office 365 This position, under direct supervision, is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, development and installation of server networks, operating systems and system infrastructure and all designated customer locations, Provide Office 365 support to end users, configuring and managing cloud services, and serving as a liaison between Microsoft and the Office 365 user base. Provides daytime and off-hour support and troubleshooting as needed. MUST have strong experience with Office 365 Duties and Responsibilities Manage and secure Microsoft Windows ServerClients including Microsoft Group Policy in a virtual cloud environment and using PowerShell scripting to VDI, Windows applications The Systems Engineer will maintain best practice administration of Office 365 environment, Develop and document migration strategies for workload shifts into Office 365 and Azure Day to day administration of Exchange Online, Security Assist 2nd level support for escalated issues Providing ongoing support for Microsoft Office 365 as needed Analyzing and providing feedback on the deployment process and technology improvements Responsive to internal and external staff on a timely basis Configure, manage, secure, and troubleshoot active directory organizational units and group policy Configure, secure, and troubleshoot remote access Cloud competency understanding and the complexity of the issues that arise in migrations and deployment to the cloud Install, configure, upgrade and maintain workstations and servers. Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating systems hardware and software configuration databaselibrary. Install and upgrade new software systems report and assist in recommending resolutions to networking and operating system problems. Monitor and fine-tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Conduct routine hardware and software audits. Analyze and resolve problems associated with servers, hardware and software in a virtual environment. Maintain comprehensive documentation and communication files. Recommend andor implement changes wnew technology to improve performance. Aid in the development and deployment of new applications concerning LANWAN performance, OS, PC server and client capacity, disaster recovery and security. Participate in web development projects to ensure projects conform to standards. Qualifications Prefer Bachelor s Degree in Technology 7 years of experience as an in administrator working in a Microsoft environment Strong network background required Must have excellent organizational and project management skills Strong communication skills to effectively drive recommendations and land priorities across customers, partners, senior executives and across organizational boundaries Possess a broad knowledgebase of Office 365 technical architecture. Strong problem solving ability ranging from conceptualization to implementation Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
