GENERAL DESCRIPTION PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The Director of ecommerce will be responsible for the complete sales management of all direct BLUE ecommerce partners, present and future. Strong preference for the job to be based in Wilton, but East Coast location would be acceptable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Must have a minimum of 3 years Amazon and/or Chewy experience

-Lead the development and implementation of the BLUE Ecommerce business functionality across multiple customers

o Work with eCommerce content team to ensure BLUE content is up to date on across all online business partners

o Work with BLUE marketing team to execute BLUE s go-to-market strategy with the eCommerce customers

o Work with BLUE customer operations to ensure order aggregates and product information is accurate

o Work with BLUE supply chain to improve profitability for the online customer base

o Work with BLUE accounting to ensure payment procedures are being met

o Connectivity/EDI with Logistics Partners

o Connectivity with BLUE SAP system

-Lead the development BLUE Sales and Marketing across all BLUE Ecommerce business partners

o Work closely with the BLUE Brand and Marketing teams to ensure the BLUE message is congruent with the companies direction

o Plan strategic meetings with business partners to ensure revenue goals are being met as well as pet parent acquisitions

o Work closely with BLUE finance to ensure budgetery metrics are being met on a monthly basis

o Monthly commission payments linkage to BLUE accounts payable system (SAP)

-Own and manage ecommerce vendor contracts to ensure company goals are being executed across volume, share and pet parent acquisition

-Strong sales, planning and organization, leadership, teamwork skills, and proficient computer skills are required

-Ability to handle ambiguity, self-starter and agile

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS REQUESTED:

Attend Critical Planning Meetings in Wilton (AOP, LE strategy, new product Roll out strategy meetings) as requested

Attend Customer Sales Calls and Trade Shows as required

Up to 40% travel

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Has a full system view online user experience, logistics / fulfillment, customer service, back-end systems, reporting, financials

-In depth experience with budgeting and forecasting

-Extremely strong customer relation and negotiation skills

-Strong project management skills

-Self-starter, entrepreneurial and action oriented

-Strong analytics and problem solving skills

-Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

PREFERRED SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:

Prior work in ecommerce platforms with integration

Strong knowledge ecommerce fulfillment process

Strong knowledge of eCommerce marketing strategy

Ability to manage complex project crossing multiple functional areas

Pet Parent Preferred

Work experience outside of eCommerceMust be able to work in environment with free-roaming companion petsPet parent preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

4 year degree in relevant field
